PROGRAMS UNDER WELLNESS AND REHABILITATION SERVICES
- Promotion of Mental Health Wellness
Sensitize students and staff on promotion of wellbeing which includes psychological, physical, social and spiritual wellness. Topics taught include stress management, nutrition and non- communicable diseases. - Promote HIV /AIDS prevention
This is accomplished through HIV testing and counseling, conducting sensitization activities on behavior change, condom sourcing and distribution, sensitizing on condom use and disposal, sensitizing on reducing stigma and discrimination and finally sensitizing on adherence to treatment. - Psychological Counseling
Provide psychological counseling to both staff and students to help them navigate through whatever challenge/opportunity they could be facing. - Implement Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ADA) Prevention work place policy
This is done by creating awareness on classification of substances, their effects, prevention and treatment. Where necessary, referral to rehabilitation centre’s is also done and after care carried out. - Debriefing
The Directorate offers debriefing services to the staff working at the funeral home. Debriefing services are also given to students and staff when they loose a loved one. - Offer Retirement support
This entails conducting seminars for staff due for retirement. This prepares them for life ahead.
